Welcome to Faith Formation at St. Mary’s!


At St. Mary’s Catholic Church, we believe that formation in the faith is a lifelong journey. From our youngest preschoolers to our most seasoned adults, we are all called to grow in knowledge and love of Christ so that we may become faithful and effective disciples, joyfully proclaiming His Gospel. We offer comprehensive faith formation for all ages—children, youth, and adults—faithfully grounded in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and in full communion with the Magisterium of the Church.



A Message to our Parents

The St. Mary, Star of the Sea Faith Formation Program for Children supports parents in their commitment to the formation of their children in the Catholic faith. Our focus is sharing the gospel through Catechesis and Evangelization experiences that will lead the children to deepen their faith and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. For the reception of Sacraments all children and youth require a minimum of two-year faith formation preparation.



REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

To enroll your child(ren), please provide the following:

  • A completed Registration Form
  • A copy of the Baptism Certificate
  • Attendance at a mandatory Parent Orientation in September


REGISTRATION DATES

  • Sundays 8:30am to 2:00pm in the Parish Office
  • Weekdays by appointment
  • Registrations ends September 6, 2026


REGISTRATION FEES

  • Parishioner Rate

$120 per child/ youth/ adult

  • Non-Parishioner Rate

$145 per child/ youth/ adult


CLASS SCHEDULE

  • Elementary & Middle School (Grades 1st - 8th)

English Sessions:

  • Sundays, 8:45am - 9:50am or
  • Thursdays, 5:30pm - 6:45pm


Spanish Sessions:

  • Sundays, 10:30am - 11:45am or
  • Tuesdays, 5:45pm - 7:00pm


  • High School (Confirmation, Communion)
  • Confirmation I,  Wednesdays, 5:30pm - 6:45pm
  • Confirmation II, Wednesday, 6:00pm - 7:15pm


  • Youth Groups
  • BEREAL (Middle School), Tuesdays, 6:00pm - 7:15pm
  • SEA (High School), Wednesdas, 7:00pm - 8:15pm



OCIA/OCIA  (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults)

Adults who are interested in entering the Catholic Church or completing their Sacraments of Initiation are invited to begin the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA). To begin the process, please contact the Faith Formation Office to schedule an interview.
