We invite you to become a registered parishioner here at St. Mary, Star of the Sea! Registration is the official way for you to join our community. Sometimes, we think that because we attend Mass each weekend, or send our children to the parish school, that we automatically become part of the parish. Becoming a parishioner is a bit more formal than that; it requires signing up and formally enrolling yourself in the parish. During registration, we’ll meet with you individually not only to fill out the forms, but to share how you can become involved in the wonderful religious, social, and ministerial activities here at our parish! After our meeting, you will feel truly invited!
Did you know that your formal registration actually affects aspects of our parish? Census numbers – or the total number of registered parishioners – determines how many priests and deacons are assigned to a parish, what benefits and obligations the community has to the diocese, and how many Masses and programs are planned and scheduled.
Are you registered with us? If not, or if we need to update your information, we would love to connect with you. Please contact Debbie Shapiro, our Director of Stewardship, at: firstname.lastname@example.org to get started.
Registering at St. Mary, Star of the Sea is a statement of faith and confidence in the life and work of our parish. As parish members, we are all here to help each other on our spiritual journey; as much as you need us, we need you, too…and we can’t wait to have you join us!
